Sonia Kashuk

Alright, so i had heard numerous great things about her brushes and I also love her makeup bags and stuff so I decided to try it. Well the two makeup bags i bought are just fine and they ran out of the brush i wanted so i didn't get any of those. I bought her concealer palette and two eye shadow things. One has four and the other has two. I was so excited because the colors looked phenomenal and i just wanted to rush home and try them out. So i got home and i did some swatches on my hand and the color pay off was decentish. The next day i actually tried putting some on my eyes and alas they sucked. It is worse than $1 makeup. The colors wouldn't stay on my eyes, i would put it on and then voila they disappeared. I am so not impressed. I would return them if i thought it was ok to, but i dont know if Target lets you. So i have the cruddy stuff still. The prices were outrageous as well. Freaken $7.99 for the two eyeshadow one and $9.99 for the four eyeshadow one. Like WTF, if im gonna pay that much i expect to to work. The concealor worked fine believe it or not, so i mean not everything is bad quality, but i would definately pass on the eyeshadows next time. I realize this is more of a rant then a review but i dont want any of you to waste your money like i did. So until next time, caio bellas!

L'oreal Hip Pigment vs. Mac

So i was bored yesterday and when i was organizing my pigments i noticed that pretty much my Mac and L'oreal were the same. You're prolly thinking no way Mac is way better, but seriously. Like my L'oreal and Mac pigments look like twins.

Mac Helium and L.H. Exciting
Mac Vanilla and L.H. Restless
Mac Deep Blue Green and L.H. Striving
Mac Blue Brown and L.H. Intrepid
Mac Chartreuse and L.H. Rebel
Mac Fuchsia and L.H. Fiery

Those are the ones that i have that i noticed a massive similarity in. The quality for them is pretty much the same also, so if you have one, no need to buy the other in my opinion. I know this is random but i found it so cool. Minus the fact that i have two of the same colors now!

L'oreal Hip Lip gloss

This is a review for the lip glosses that are not in the squeeze tube. So i got almost all of them and honestly...its cool cuz all the colors u see are exactly what comes out on your lips. The texture isnt too bad. Its not sticky...but comes off easy, definately not long lasting. I'm seriously still in shock about how the colors are what you see on your lips. The down side is...with my skin color more than half the shades i can't even use. The browns look horrible on me. I have to stay more towards the pinks and purples. Anyways, the price is $11.99, which again i find insane for a stupid drug store lip gloss, but with the deals like buy one get on free it makes it a little bit better. When i was looking at the colors in the store...I kept noticing that one shade was ALWAYS gone and it bummed me out cuz it is the only shade that I truly wanted. Euphoric is amazing, its this pinky pink color but doesn't look hot pink so its good for day time. Some of the colors i will be frank are like when the hell will i ever be able to wear that. I may be funky at times but im not bold enough to walk out the door with fushia lip gloss. I definately think darker skin tones can pull it off, but fair skinned gals try the pinky ones...its less offensive to the eyes. Oh, another con i noticed is that after a while the tube gets gunky and the lip gloss builds up all at the top and its like a pain to try and not get it outside the tube. Like i take the applicator out and its just coated to the max...i dont need that much lip gloss at once so you have to scrap some off before you apply. Smell wise...its faint, at least to me. But its like this weird bubble gum smell, not crazy about it, but its not obnoxious. Thats about all i can think about for this product.
Overall I would recommend it for the bold who like bold colors. Its a good product for drug store brand and if you can get a deal...USE IT...don't pay full price!

L'oreal Hip pigments (continuation)

Ok, i forgot to mention about the brush that comes with the pigments. Firstly...that is prolly what makes up for the outrageous price. The brush is just like a Mac 239 but with a much shorter hand which is helpful when applying makeup with a small mirror. No one wants the brush handle to get in the way of the mirror, since it's already small enough. The brushes are good quality and hold up well. I abuse them like no tomorrow and they are like brand new.

The pigments work well when applied wet and the colors are more intense...but i still suggest that you have a colored base cuz the color just fades and then u can't get the intensity u wanted in the first place.
